Provide knowledge about development during adolescence, especially its psychological aspects related to identity crisis, and methods of supporting and enhancing developmental processes of adolescence. Prepare students for implementing knowlede of this period of life and creating enhancing development programs.
Basic course of psychology
Are hormones really guilty of everything? Multidimensionality of adolescents’ development and relations between its aspects.
Who am I? No-one? Every-one? The concept of identity and its crisis, the cultural context of its formation.
„We” or „I”? Individual and group identity.
Hiding and turning around: identity forming processes.
One for all, all for one: adolescents’ peers group and its impact on adolescents’ development.
From beginning to the end: mechanisms of youth organizations and their leaders impact.
Know-how: tips for creating programs for adolescents and projects as the most effective method of work.
Project – analysis of formal youth group, its working methods and impact mechanisms.
Literature studies, class discussion, small groups discussion, problem solving or case studies, project.
