The aim of course is: 1) to acquaint students with the structure of the educational systems in the world’s high developer countries nowadays; 2) to give the appropriate evaluation of the present educational system in Poland; 3) to suggest ideas for practical work in school.
Basic knowledge from the area of contemporary trends in education.

The requirement to pass is active participation in class discussions (25% of general grade), description a report/ presentation/ poster selected from the area of comparative pedagogy (50%), individual/ group preparation of an essay or preparation of a portfolio (25%).
