Cel przedmiotu

The aim of the course is to understand the importance of management in the enterprise and to learn the basic tools, techniques and problems of management. Developing practical skills in planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling in enterprises. In addition, the aim of the course is to understand the basic laws and economic processes taking place in a market economy and to understand the principles of operation of enterprises.

Wymagania wstępne

Basic knowledge of economics as well as knowledge and skills in mathematics.

Zakres tematyczny

Lecture: 2h (S - full-time studies, N - part-time studies)

S1 (N1): Definitions and types of enterprises, organizational and legal forms of enterprises, taxonomy of enterprises. Characteristics of the organizational structure of enterprises.

S2 (N2): The company's mission and strategy. Characteristics of management in an enterprise at the strategic, tactical and operational level.

S3 (N3): Knowledge-based enterprise, knowledge workers. Management of knowledge. Methods of determining the value of intellectual capital.

S4 (N3): Characteristics of innovative enterprises and innovation management methods.

S5 (N4): Human resources management: selection of employees in the enterprise, recruitment and selection process. Work evaluation.

S6 (N4): Human resources management: tools and methods of motivating individual groups of employees, employee development.

S7-S8 (N5): Balanced Scorecard.

S9 (N6): Elementary issues and subject of economics. Basic categories of economics. Costs and benefits in economics. Production capabilities.

S10 - S11 (N8): Basics of production management. Definitions: enterprise, entrepreneur, economic activity. Objectives of the enterprise. Form of ownership and assets of the enterprise. Financing the company's activities. Cost accounting (costs: total, fixed, variable, average, marginal; total and marginal revenue). Enterprise profit. Economic and technological optimum. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

S12-S13 (N9) The basic models of the market.

S14 (N9) Risk in business activity.

S15 (N9) State tax system. Types of taxes. Budget.

Classes:

Metody kształcenia

Conventional lecture.

Warunki zaliczenia

Lecture - Written exam, preceded by obtaining a pass from practical classes.

Classes - final grade from the written test.

Final grade  - the condition for passing the course is to pass all its forms. The final grade for completing the course is the arithmetic mean of grades for individual forms of classes.
