Cel przedmiotu

To familiarize students with the social diagnoses implemented in Poland and in the world, and capabilities of using
commonly available results. Preparing students for the implementation of their own social diagnosis project.

Completed courses of Quantitative and qualitative research methods and techniques.

Zakres tematyczny

1. The problems of differentiation and social inequality.
2. The concept of social diagnosis.
3. Diagnosis in social policy.
4. The role of longitudinal studies in the diagnosis of the quality of life.
5. Examples of longitudinal studies carried out in Poland (Polish General Social Survey, Social Diagnosis, Social Survey of Lubuskie).
6. The key variables and indicators in diagnosing the quality of life.
7. Longitudinal research methodology (social diagnoses).

Metody kształcenia

Project method, presentations, discussion, analysis of texts, analysis of data sets.

Written work	Written work. The criterion is the proper choice of literature, compliance with the topic, correct structure and language, independence of the work, level of analysis
Criteria for grade assessment for classes.	The class grade will be a mark of the written work.

 

The final grade is the grade of the classes in a given semester.
