Aim of the course

Acquisition of skills and competences in the field of project management.

Prerequisites

Operational research, Fundamentals of production scheduling.

Scope

Lecture

 

L1: Project management in general terms. Project phases. Project schedule and budget.

L2: Managing a project team. Directions of development of the concept of project management and management by projects. Organization and resources in the production process.

L3: Critical path, Gantt chart.

L4: Time-cost analysis, limited resources.

L5:  Analysis and risk management in the project.

L6: Project management methodologies.

L7: Basic models of project management.

L8: IT tools supporting project management. Written Test

 

Project:

P1: Determining the topic of the project. Specification of tasks.

P2:Division of tasks into groups. Defining control tasks (milestones)

P3: Characteristics of IT tool: MS Project (environment, views, working with the program).

P4: Determining the execution times for individual tasks. Determining the resources required to perform individual tasks

P5: Determining the relationship (connections) between individual tasks.

P6: Generating cost statements, times, reports, critical path, etc.

P7: Simulation of the project implementation. Risk analysis for the project.

P8: Development of a project implementation, report.

Assignment conditions

Lecture: Assessment based on a written test including verification of knowledge of basic issues.

Project: Assessment based on the basis of the component evaluating skills related to the implementation of project tasks.

Final grade - arithmetic average of grades from individual forms of classes.
