Cel przedmiotu

The intention of a lecturer is to familiarize students with the main issues of the SOCIOLOGY OF BORDERLAND . An additional goal is to prepare students to identify processes and social phenomena and their transformations in borderlands and to conduct the cooperation and conflict resolution in terms of cultural diversity.

THEMATIC SCOPE OF THE LECTURES:

  1. The concepts of borderland and border.
  2. Types of borderlands.
  3. Study of borderlands – methodological proposals.
  4. Cross-border cooperation.
  5. Pathologies in borderlands.
  6. Nation, ethnic group. National-ethnic diversification of Poland.

 

THEMATIC SCOPE OF THE CLASSES:

  1. Manifestations of borderland. Relations between neighbours.
  2. Manifestations of borderland. Cross-border cooperation.
  3. Manifestations of borderland. Cooperation of children and youth.

Metody kształcenia

Teaching methods used during the classes are: multiple discussion, coincident method and work with literature.
