Literatura francuska od średniowiecza do w. XVIII. Epika rycerska średniowiecza: Pieśń o Rolandzie. Powieść dworska: Dzieje Tristana i Izoldy. Poezja Villona. Gargantua i Pantagruel jako wyraz humanizmu Rabelais’go. Poezja Plejady (Ronsard). Montaigne i jego Próby. Myśli Pascala. Tragedia klasyczna: Corneille i Racine. Komedie Moliera. Bajki La Fontaine’a. Listy perskie Monteskiusza. Opowiastki filozoficzne Woltera: Kandyd. Komedia Beaumarchais’go: Cyrulik Sewilski.
Metoda tekstu przewodniego, analiza i interpretacja tekstu w formie dyskusji, praca z dokumentem źródłowym, ćwiczenia redakcyjne i tłumaczeniowe, ilustracja muzyczna, wsparcie analizy dokumentem ikonograficznym.

Zaliczenie wykładu: obecność na co najmniej 8 wykładach.
Zaliczenie ćwiczeń z oceną. Kryterium oceny: aktywność na zajęciach, wykazanie się podczas ćwiczeń znajomością wskazanych w rubryce „literatura podstawowa” tekstów literackich w stopniu oznaczającym osobisty kontakt z dziełem.
